Dave Waldorf about Fashion and Georgia
Dave Waldorf has been involved in fashion industry for six years . Dave is a creative director of
Waldorf 's bazaar and spends all his time dealing with it and at the same time he is a very successful blogger . Waldorf coorporates with lots of prestigious brands and at the same time he is involved in international online publications and issues . Among them there are Vogue , Elle and lots of others . He always attends fashion weeks in different countries and in Georgia as well . Dave always draws attention of invited guests and street photographers with his style and appearence . The essence of Waldorf 's bazaar covers all aspects of beauty and any fields which are very attractive. It can be Aesthetics , Filming or Music .
As the main topic of my blog is related to fashion . I have decided to get in touch with Dave and i do want to introduce you to Dave Waldorf and my exclusive interview with him .
Dave Wadorf _ი , ექვსი წელია, რაც მოდის ინდუსტრიაში ჩაერთო . დეივი არის შემოქმედებითი დირექტორი Waldorf bazaar_ისა მთელ დროს მის საქმიანობას უთმობს და არის ძალიან წარმატებული ბლოგერი . ვალდორფი თანამშრომლობს ბევრ პრესტიჟულ ბრენდთან , ამასთანავე ჩართულია საერთაშორისო ონლაინ პუბლიკაციებში და გამოცემებში , მათ შორის Vogue , Elle და მრავალი სხვა . იგი მუდმივად ესწრება მოდის კვირეულებს სხვადასხვა ქვეყნებში და მათ შორის არის საქართველოც . დეივი თავისი სტილითა და გარეგნობით ყოველთვის იქცევს ყურადღებას , როგორც ქუჩის ფოტოგრაფების , ასევე მოწვეული სტუმრების . Waldorf 's bazaar _ის შინაარსი მოიცავს სილამაზის ყველა ასპეკტს , ნებისმიერ თემას , რაც მომხიბვლელია , შეიძლება იყოს ესთეტიკა , კინომატოგრაფია ან მუსიკა .
ვინაიდან ჩემი ბლოგის თემატიკა მოდას ეხება , ამიტომ მე გადავწყვიტე , დავკავშირებოდი დეივს და მინდა გაგაცნოთ ექსკლუზიური ინტერვიუ დეივ ვალდორფთან .
-When does fashion appeared in your life ?
-Everything actually started from my childhood . I mean like when you watch a lot of movies , and you are absolutely into art and have some specific interests everything comes to fashion in the end . But everything got serious since 15 when I went to photography courses and started to work as a fashion photographer . Eventually life brought me in front of camera and my work became something like a creative director .
-როდის გაჩნდა მოდა თქვენს ცხოვრებაში ?
-ყველაფერი ბავშვობიდან დაიწყო , მაგალითად ბევრ ფილმს რომ უყურებ და ხვდები , რომ მთლიანად ხელოვნებაში ხარ ჩაფლული და ყველაფერი მოდით მთავრდება . მაგრამ სერიოზული ნაბიჯები 15 წლის ასაკში გადავდგი , როცა ფოტოგრაფიის კურსებზე დავიწყე სიარული და მოდის ფოტოგრაფად ვმუშაობდი . მოულოდნელად კამერის მიღმა აღმოვჩნდი და ჩემი სამუშაო კრეატიული გახდა .
-What is your everyday style ?
-It depends on the mood actually but I wear always dark . I hate colours , I hate jeans and everything positive related to clothing . I wear more casual clothes in my everyday life ( I consider it that way ) , but accessories are always my weak point and I can put on : sunglasses , hat , rings , bag (sometimes a few ) and a lot of earings .
-როგორია თქვენი ყოველდღიური სტილი ?
-ძირითადად ხასიათზეა დამოკიდებული , მაგრამ რეალურად მუქ ფერებს ვატარებ . მეზიზღება : ფერები , ჯინსები და ყველაფერი პოზიტიური რაც ტანსაცმელს ეხება . ყოველდღიური სტილი ჩვეულებრივთან მიახლოებული მაქვს , მაგრამ აქსესუარი ჩემი სუსტი წერტილია და ყოველთვის შემიძლია გავიკეთო სათვალე , ქუდი , ბეჭედი , ჩანთა და ბევრი საყურე .
-What is the concept of your blog ?
-The best feeling in life is to get inspired from something , like from music , artist , movie , whatever ... and it is main purpose is to give the fuse of that inspiration trough the editorials we work with . I've started to share about my personal interests as well on the blog , including what I listen to , what I read and etc .
-რა არის თქვენი ბლოგის კონცეფცია ?
-საუკეთესო გრძნობა ინსპირაციის რაღაციდან მიღებაა მაგალითად : მუსიკა . ხელოვანი , ფილმი ან ნებისმიერი რამ ... და მთავარი მიზანი ის არის რომ შევინარჩუნოთ ის ინსპირაცია რომელზეც ვმუშაობთ . ჩემი პერსონალური ინტერესების გაზიარება ჩემს ბლოგზე დავიწყე , რომელიც იმასაც მოიცავს თუ რას ვუსმენ , ვკითხულობ და ა.შ .
-Advice from Dave Waldorf for fashion lovers and beginner bloggers ?
-Always try to be honest with yourself and explore your world , never run away towards the trends and all that fuse , because the best value has authenticity .
-რას ურჩევდით მოდის მოყვარულებს და დამწყებ ბლოგერებს ?
-ყოველთვის ეცადე იყო გულწრფელი შენი თავის მიმართ და აღმოაჩინე შენი სამყარო , არასდროს გაექცე ტრენდებს და ყველაფერ მსგავსს , იმიტომ რომ ყველაზე დიდი ღირებულება ავთენტურობას აქვს .
-Is your blog's name ''Waldorf's Bazaar'' inspired by ''Harper's Bazaar'' ?
-They're not because the main purpose of the blog as I've told is to get people a lot of things from various fields and sometimes it could look like a bazaar . It's apsolutely not commercial and we never advertise anything we don't like . We get a tons of collaboration purposes from the leading brands and the majority of them get denied . Also we have a section called ''Bazaar'' where I include my Fashion and Beauty shoppings .

-არა . იმიტომ რომ მთავარი მიზანი ბლოგის არის ის როგორც ვთქვი , რომ ხალხმა ბევრი რამ მიიღოს სხვადასხვა სფეროდან და ხანდახან ეს შეიძლება ჩანდეს როგორც კოპირება . ეს სრულიად არ არის კომერციული და ჩვენ არასდროს ვიღებთ იმას რაც არ მოგვწონს . ვიღებთ ტონობით კოლაბორაციულ მიზანს სხვადასხვა ბრენდზე დაფუძნებით . ასევე ჩვენ გვაქვს სექცია რომელსაც ეწოდება ''Bazaar'' რომელიც მოიცავს ჩემს Fashion and Beauty შოპინგს .
-What is your goals ?
-The most exciting part of this job is to collaborate with the brands and fantastically talanted people you really admire their works . I don't dream about anything , I just try to get better personally and professionally everyday , and everything just comes in .
-რა არის თქვენი მიზანი ?
- ყველაზე ამაღელვებელი ნაწილი ამ საქმისა ისაა , რომ გიწევს კოლაბორაცია იმ ბრენდებთან და იმ უნიჭიერეს ადამიანებთან რომლის ნაშრომსაც აღიარებ . არაფერზე ვოცნებობ , უბრალოდ ვცდილობ რომ ყოველდღიურად გავუმჯობესდე , როგორც პიროვნულად ასევე პროფესიულად და ყველაფერი კარგად მიდის .
- Who is your favorite Georgian designer? Model?
-Georgian designers has quite specific style and they really do good job. My favourite designers are Lado Bokuchava, George Keburia and Situationist. About the models I would say that Georgian girls are really incredibly beautiful. My favourite ones for now are Anna Gavva, Ani Chichladze and a few I don’t know their names.
-რომელი ქართველი დიზაინერი მოგწონთ ? მოდელი ?
- ქართველ დიზაინერებს ძალიან სპეციფიური სტილი აქვთ და ძალიან კარგ საქმეს აკეთებენ . ჩემი საყვარელი დიზაინერები არიან ლადო ბოყუჩავა , გიორგი ქებურია და Situationist_ი . რაც შეეხება მოდელებს ვიტყოდი რომ ქართველი გოგონები განსაკუთრებით ლამაზები არიან . ამჯერად ჩემი საყვარელი მოდელები არიან ანა გავვა , ანი ჩიჩლაძე და კიდევ რამდენიმე რომლის სახელებიც ზუსტად არ ვიცი .
- What do you think about Georgian Fashion, as an industry?
It’s now flourishing because of Sofia Tchkonia and an incredible team behind, but also it’s stimulated by the global success of Post Soviet Union designers particularly Demna Gvasalia. I think it has a great potential but it still needs a lot of hard work to do. The evident weakest point is fashion media industry for now in Georgia, but I don’t work in Georgia so it’s kind of hard to say.
- რას ფიქრობთ ქართულ მოდაზე როგროც ინდუსტრიაზე ?
-ახლა საქართველოში მოდა ყვავდება სოფია ჭყონიას წყალობით , მაგრამ ასევე უნდა ავღნიშნოთ დემნა გვასალია . ვფიქრობ , რომ მას აქვს ძალიან კარგი პოტენციალი მაგრამ ბევრი , მუშაობა ჭირდება . ამჟამად საქართველოში სუსტი წერტილი კი მოდის ინდუსტრიაა , თუმცა მე მანდ არ ვმუშაობ და ცოტა რთული სათქმელია .
- What was that you liked the most when visiting Georgia?
-I like Georgia more and more every time I come in. I like the architecture, the vibe in the air, the people and also night life. I really can’t wait to come back.
- როდესაც ეწვიეთ საქართველოს რამ მოგხიბლათ ყველაზე მეტად ?
-საქართველო ყოველ ჩამოსვლაზე უფრო და უფრო მომწონს . მოვიხიბლე არქიტექტურით , ხალხით და ღამის ცხოვრებით . ერთი სული მაქვს ჩამოვიდე .
- What would you say about street style in our country?
I’ve noticed that Georgians love leather, oversized forms, brutality and that’s all kind of mine, so I’m enchanted.
- რას იტყვით ქუჩის მოდაზე ჩვენს ქვეყანაში ?
- შევამჩნიე რომ ქართველებს უყვართ ტყავი , დიდი ზომის ტანსსაცმელი , სისასტიკე და ეს ყველაფერი ჩემში ზის , ასე რომ მოჯადოებული ვარ .
